The Centre for Digital Technologies in Healthcare (CDiTH) at IIIT Hyderabad has launched the Research Translation Fellows (RTF) program — an initiative aimed at professionals keen on applying research to address real-world healthcare challenges. The program offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, research, and healthcare under academic mentorship.

The comprehensive three-year, full-time program combines applied research, system development, and academic learning, culminating in an MS by Research degree with the option to progress to a PhD. Participants are awarded the title of Research Translation Fellow, receiving a monthly stipend of ₹1,00,000 along with academic and research support. Fellows will engage in projects focused on AI-driven diagnostics, digital health platforms, and decision-support systems, working closely with CDiTH and IIIT Hyderabad faculty as well as healthcare collaborators.

Eligibility and Selection

Applicants should have a minimum of five years of professional experience with strong technical expertise in systems design, software development, or emerging technologies. Preferred areas include web and API development, full-stack engineering, cloud operations, data engineering, and machine learning. Candidates with hands-on project experience, research aptitude, and a strong interest in exploring new technologies are encouraged to apply.

Selection involves a multi-stage process comprising application screening, an assignment-based evaluation, and interviews with CDiTH and senior IIIT Hyderabad faculty.

Through this program, CDiTH aims to attract professionals interested in translating research into deployable healthcare solutions.

Applications are now open for the Research Translation Fellows program.
